A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Corporate Health Plan Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The role involves advising healthcare clients on a variety of strategic transactions and corporate matters, requiring strong regulatory knowledge and exceptional legal skills.

 

Duties:

  • Advise healthcare clients on strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments, and joint ventures.
  • Assist clients with corporate and organizational workflows such as formations, capital raises, operational strategy, and contract negotiations.
  • Provide legal counsel on day-to-day corporate matters and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and draft legal documents and memoranda as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and communicate directly with clients on legal strategies and issues.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in health plan operations, regulation, managed care, and state and federal laws relating to health plans.
  • Strong understanding of provider contracting, Medicare risk adjustment, STARS ratings, Medicaid matters, and behavioral health parity.
  • Admission to the State Bar (Washington, DC preferred).
  • Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar (Washington, DC preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
