A law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Mid-Level Public Finance Associate Attorney with experience in municipal finance, tax, and securities law. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a desire to take on significant responsibility in a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on municipal finance transactions, including bond issuances, tax-exempt financing, and securities offerings.
  • Collaborate with governments, underwriters, and banks on municipal finance matters.
  • Draft and review financing documents, bond resolutions, and disclosure materials.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on tax and securities law issues.
  • Assist in due diligence and compliance efforts for public finance transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Assume significant responsibility for transactional matters under the supervision of partners.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in public finance or equivalent.
  • Experience working with governments, underwriters, and banks on municipal finance transactions.
  • Strong understanding of municipal finance, tax, and securities law.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Meaningful professional experience in a legal environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice.

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of municipal finance, tax, and securities law.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
