Senior Associate Attorney (Litigation)

Duties:

• Independently manage high-level litigation cases involving serious or catastrophic damages.
• Take fact and expert witness depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and documentation.
• Interface regularly with clients, providing updates and guidance on case developments.
• Proactively meet deadlines, ensuring all aspects of case management are handled efficiently.
• Play an active role in mediating cases and negotiating settlements.
• Take a leadership position in trial preparation, including strategic planning and client representation.
• Work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals, offering support and insight where necessary.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to client advocacy, striving to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Requirements:

• Significant experience in litigation, particularly in handling serious or catastrophic damage cases.
• Ability to manage complex cases independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong courtroom and deposition experience.
• Proven ability to interface effectively with clients, keeping them informed and engaged.
• Experience in mediation and negotiation of case settlements.

• Business origination experience or strong potential for business development is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar (or the ability to gain admission if coming from another jurisdiction).
