Personal Injury Attorney

This full-time role requires the attorney to manage personal injury cases from start to finish, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing for trials.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on personal injury cases
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Assist in case preparation for trials
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding the status of claims, demands, and offers
• Manage case files and documentation
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts
• Coordinate with attorneys to develop case strategies
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies on behalf of clients
• File suits when necessary and prepare clients for litigation
• Keep clients informed on case developments and progress

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in legal research and drafting
• Experience in personal injury litigation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to negotiate settlements with insurance companies
• Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis or similar legal research platforms
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Litigation experience is required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar admission in Illinois
