Duties

  • Manage and prioritize a large caseload involving foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, and mortgage banking.
  • Draft and review pleadings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Attend hearings, status conferences, and represent clients in various proceedings.
  • Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and team members to discuss case strategy and updates.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex legal issues to mitigate client risk.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and active member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
  • Previous experience in title, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and mortgage banking is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently and within a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.
