Job Overview:

A dynamic and growing law firm is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to join its team. The firm handles a variety of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip & fall, premises liability, dog bites, and wrongful death. This role encompasses both pre-suit and litigation stages, with a support team available for pre-litigation and litigation tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients navigate their legal journey while providing exceptional legal representation.

Location:

  • Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Duties:

  • Handle personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip & fall, premises liability, dog bites, and wrongful death claims.
  • Manage both pre-suit and litigation processes for personal injury cases.
  • Work collaboratively with a support team during the pre-litigation and litigation phases.
  • Represent clients in court, depositions, and hearings.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and guidance throughout the legal process.
  • Negotiate settlements and work with insurance companies on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a personal injury attorney.
  • Licensing: Must be licensed to practice law in Florida (preferred).
  • Ability to Commute: Must be located in or willing to relocate to Fort Lauderdale, FL.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of personal injury law and legal processes.
    • Ability to handle cases from pre-suit through litigation.
    • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
    • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar license (preferred).

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury law (auto accidents, slip & fall, premises liability, etc.).
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Litigation experience and courtroom presence.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
