A law firm in Cartersville, GA, is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney who is a current member of the Georgia Bar. The ideal candidate should be a diligent self-starter capable of independent thinking and work. This position offers an opportunity to handle a variety of litigation matters and contribute to the firm's success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters, including but not limited to civil disputes, commercial litigation, personal injury, and insurance defense.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies and ensure timely and effective case management.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on litigation strategies and legal issues.
  • Maintain accurate and complete case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of litigation experience preferred, although recent graduates with relevant experience or judicial clerkship may be considered.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Diligent work ethic and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with trial preparation and courtroom litigation.
  • Familiarity with Georgia state court procedures and rules.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional integrity.

Education and Certifications:
