Duties

• Handle an independent caseload under the supervision of a senior attorney.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and make court appearances.
• Manage and oversee Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, including preparation and filing of required legal documents.
• Represent clients in bankruptcy court proceedings, hearings, and meetings.
• Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure proper case management.
• Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal standards.
• Travel to courts located outside the immediate area when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bankruptcy law, specifically handling Chapter 7 and 13 cases.
• Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and provide excellent client representation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present arguments effectively in court.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Ohio Bar admission is required.
