Duties

• Collaborate with partners and associates on high-profile client matters.
• Prepare and review mutual fund registration statements, shareholder reports, and related documentation.
• Support new fund launches and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements under the Investment Company Act of 1940.
• Conducted detailed legal research and prepared materials for mutual fund boards.
• Oversee and contribute to mutual fund and ETF filings with regulatory bodies.
• Provide advisory support on governance and operational issues.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of legal experience in asset management, mutual funds, or related fields.
• Strong academic credentials and an exemplary record of legal practice.
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents focusing on precision and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team collaboration.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in at least one State Bar, preferably New Jersey or New York.

Skills

• High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex legal projects independently.
• Strong research capabilities, particularly in regulatory and compliance matters.
• Proven leadership or teamwork skills in a professional setting.
