An established and growth-oriented law firm in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with a focus on EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) matters. This role offers a valuable opportunity for a legal professional to handle complex removal defense cases, manage a team, and work closely with a collaborative immigration practice group. Duties

  • Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before Immigration Court, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals

  • Prepare and submit defensive applications, including I-589, 42A, 42B, I-485, SIJS, and Prosecutorial Discretion (PD) requests

  • Review and file USCIS applications such as I-130, I-601A, and U-Visa petitions

  • Meet with clients to analyze their immigration status and develop appropriate legal strategies

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of paralegals to ensure timely and effective client service

  • Draft and submit legal briefs and written arguments for various immigration cases

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience practicing immigration law

  • Proven ability to handle EOIR and removal defense cases

  • Strong case management and client service skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and legal support staff

  • Track record of managing and advancing multiple legal matters simultaneously

  • Experience in family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, citizenship, and USCIS applications

  • Familiarity with case management software preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (in good standing)
