Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Real Estate Associate to join its Real Estate Department in the Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have significant transactional real estate experience, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex transactions with a dynamic team.

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Duties:

  • Handle transactional real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Draft and negotiate real estate-related documents such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, and loan documents.
  • Assist clients in navigating complex real estate transactions and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage various stages of real estate deals.
  • Conduct due diligence and ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Transactional real estate experience, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Prior law firm experience is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility to be admitted.

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiation.
  • Strong communication and client management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
