A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a White Collar and Government Investigations Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in international trade regulatory, compliance, and enforcement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Committee on Foreign Investments (CFIUS), United States export controls, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A general understanding of the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) is preferred. Candidates must be admitted and actively barred in Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal guidance and representation on matters related to CFIUS, U.S. export controls, and ITAR.
  • Manage regulatory compliance and enforcement issues within international trade.
  • Draft and review regulatory filings, compliance documentation, and related legal materials.
  • Conduct internal investigations and coordinate responses to government inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement compliance strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in trade regulations and enforcement practices.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients, offering timely and strategic legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar.
  • 2-4 years of experience in international trade regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters.
  • Demonstrated experience with CFIUS, U.S. export controls, and ITAR regulations.
  • General knowledge of the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a legal team in regulatory and compliance matters.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, including CFIUS, export controls, and ITAR.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities for client interactions and regulatory matters.
  • Proficiency in managing complex regulatory cases and compliance issues.
  • Experience with white collar crime and government investigations.
  • High organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
