A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Oshkosh, WI. The firm represents public school districts, private businesses, non-profits, and other public entities in labor and employment law, corporate law, real estate law, estate planning, and civil litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2-4 years of experience to take on immediate client interaction while contributing to the growth of the practice. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, exceptional research and writing skills, and a passion for practicing in these legal areas.

Duties:

  • Case Management: Handle client cases involving labor and employment law, corporate law, real estate, estate planning, and civil litigation.
  • Legal Research & Drafting: Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as briefs, memoranda, and other correspondence.
  • Client Interaction: Interact with clients directly, providing legal advice and ensuring their needs are met on time.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions when necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategies, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
  • Professional Development: Continuously develop legal knowledge and stay current with changes in relevant areas of law.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law, corporate law, real estate, estate planning, or civil litigation.
  • Skills: Excellent research, writing, and communication skills, with an ability to effectively advocate for clients.
  • Client Focus: Ability to work with diverse clients, including public entities and private businesses, and understand their unique legal needs.
  • Professionalism: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to providing exceptional legal services.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin (or eligibility for admission).

Skills:
