A law firm seeks a mid-level leveraged finance associate to enhance its team, which supports both lender and borrower practices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in leveraged buyout financings. Strong academic credentials and experience in a large law firm are essential, along with excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Duties

  • Facilitate the structuring and negotiation of leveraged finance transactions, particularly related to buyouts and acquisitions.
  • Provide comprehensive support for both lender and borrower-side practices within the finance team.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and analysis of financing agreements and related documentation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate essential legal documents, including loan and credit agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop effective financing strategies.
  • Stay updated on market trends and legal developments relevant to leveraged finance.

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant experience in leveraged finance or a similar area.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while managing multiple priorities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance is highly preferred.

Certifications

  • Must be admitted to practice law in TX.
