Job Overview
A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Project Finance Associate Attorney to join its team in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in transactional law, particularly in representing lenders or tax equity investors in renewable energy project finance transactions. The role requires strong legal acumen, excellent analytical abilities, and a demonstrated capacity for high-level written and verbal communication.

Duties

  • Represent lenders, tax equity investors, and other stakeholders in renewable energy project finance transactions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate project financing agreements and related documentation
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on energy project structures, risks, and financial arrangements
  • Assist in the preparation of closing materials and manage the closing process
  • Conduct legal research on energy-related regulations, financing laws, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including partners, clients, and outside counsel, to drive transaction success
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and legal developments relevant to project finance and renewable energy

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in project finance, with a focus on renewable energy transactions
  • Demonstrated experience representing lenders or tax equity investors
  • Proven ability to manage complex, high-stakes transactions and relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to draft and negotiate legal documents

Education
