Duties:

• Assess new files and develop action plans, budgets, and recommendations

• Identify pleading requirements and assign tasks to paralegals

• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production

• Attend and report on depositions, hearings, and discovery events

• Negotiate settlements and secure necessary authority

• Prepare for trials as needed

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with legal assistants and paralegals

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn legal database systems

• Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.)
