The successful candidate will have a strong background in personal injury and/or insurance defense, with a focus on Texas, Florida, and Georgia legal practices. This role involves handling cases from inception through trial, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and participating in depositions, mediations, and court hearings. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney passionate about providing strategic legal counsel and representation in high-stakes defense matters.

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memorandums, pleadings, and other related documents.
  • Respond to discovery requests, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and timelines.
  • Handle and defend depositions, including examining witnesses and gathering necessary evidence.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and pre-trial proceedings.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, ensuring that all case details are effectively presented.
  • Prepare settlement agreements and negotiate favorable terms for clients.
  • Manage cases throughout their lifecycle, from initial stages through resolution, with a focus on personal injury and insurance defense.

Requirements:

  • Active legal licensure in Texas, Florida, and/or Georgia.
  • Strong experience in handling personal injury and/or insurance defense matters.
  • Proven ability to manage cases from initiation through trial, demonstrating legal expertise in both research and litigation.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with other attorneys and staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, for client interaction and case presentations.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas, Florida, and/or Georgia.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research, writing, and document preparation (motions, pleadings, settlement agreements).
  • Strong deposition and trial preparation skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Experience with discovery processes and client interaction.
  • Familiarity with cyber liability cases and the ability to address related legal issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple case details.
