Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Spartanburg, SC is currently seeking an experienced Healthcare Reimbursement Attorney. This position is ideal for an attorney with over 10 years of expertise in advising clients and policymaking related to healthcare billing and reimbursement, specifically within the realms of Medicare, Medicaid, VA/Tricare, and federal fraud and abuse regulations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare-related laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and False Claims Act, and will be expected to guide healthcare organizations on compliance matters.

Duties:

  • Advise healthcare clients on billing and reimbursement requirements related to Medicare, Medicaid, VA/Tricare, and other regulatory concerns.
  • Provide legal counsel on healthcare compliance issues, including enrollment and claims submission processes.
  • Assist in structuring business relationships to ensure adherence to relevant healthcare fraud and abuse laws, such as the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Represent healthcare providers, including hospitals, physician practices, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies in legal matters.
  • Offer guidance on healthcare fraud and abuse compliance, ensuring business operations follow federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare entities to address billing, reimbursement, and regulatory concerns.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare law, specifically in billing, reimbursement, and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act.
  • Proven experience advising and representing healthcare providers such as hospitals, physician practices, and skilled nursing facilities.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare enrollment and claims submission processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of providing effective legal solutions to healthcare clients.
  • Experience working with private payors is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
