Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in New York City, NY, is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney with over 10 years of litigation expertise. This full-time, hybrid position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, dynamic environment, where the attorney will represent clients in various legal matters, including general liability, professional liability, and employment-related cases. Duties:

• Represent clients through all stages of litigation, from case initiation to trial, in areas such as general liability, professional liability, and employment claims.
• Manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring timely and thorough documentation and reporting.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on various legal matters.
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and tactics.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of legal writing and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience.
• Active New York Bar license required.
• Experience in casualty, NY Labor Law, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, or general liability litigation is preferred.
• Prior experience at an insurance defense firm is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Lexis software is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
