Duties:

  • Assist in handling M&A transactions, focusing on private company M&A, private equity, and venture capital.
  • Provide legal support on acquisitions, dispositions, and growth equity/venture capital transactions.
  • Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously while providing excellent client service.
  • Draft and review transaction documents, including term sheets and agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Participate in business development and client-facing activities.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of transactional/M&A experience at a law firm.
  • Experience in private equity/sponsor clients, particularly in acquisitions, dispositions, and venture capital.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Client-focused with a collaborative approach.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials are required.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar, or in the process of obtaining admission, and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal matters while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client interaction and teamwork.
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
