A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an eDiscovery Counsel with 7+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate environment. The candidate should have extensive experience advising and supporting case teams and clients on all discovery phases, from preservation to production. This role involves collaborating with attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to develop case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols, with a focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility.

Duties:

  • Advise and support case teams and clients on all aspects of eDiscovery, including preservation, production, and information governance.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, technologists, and clients to create and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables of Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers to maintain consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance on eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Effectively communicate complex legal and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the preservation, filtering, and export capabilities of corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity solutions, such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Strongly prefer expertise with the eDiscovery tool, Relativity.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate environment.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with corporate messaging and collaboration solutions like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Strongly preferred expertise with Relativity.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

  • Relevant eDiscovery certifications are a plus.

Skills:

  • Extensive eDiscovery experience.
