This includes court proceedings, negotiations, and restructuring plans. Job Overview

Duties

  • Represent creditors and debtors in bankruptcy cases, including litigating in court and negotiating terms for plans of reorganization and out-of-court recapitalization.
  • Provide strategic counsel on complex bankruptcy matters.
  • Participate in client meetings, preparing reports, and ensuring timely updates on case progress.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, motions, and plans of reorganization.
  • Manage a caseload of bankruptcy matters, ensuring adherence to deadlines and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in bankruptcy law, particularly in creditor and debtor representation.
  • Proven ability to handle complex bankruptcy cases, including negotiations and litigation.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in Ohio.
