A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team in Omaha, specializing in Elder and Special Needs Law. This full-time position offers an opportunity to handle a variety of cases related to MassHealth/Medicaid applications, estate planning, and probate, while also contributing to guardianship and conservatorship matters. Duties:

  • Manage a personal caseload encompassing estate planning, guardianships, conservatorships, and probate administration.
  • Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, petitions, and MassHealth applications.
  • Compile and organize verifications to complete MassHealth applications.
  • Provide case updates and maintain organized client files.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
  • File documents at various courts and communicate effectively with court personnel.
  • Attend networking events to represent the firm and contribute to business development.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, such as drafting blog posts and preparing presentations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on case reviews and office support tasks.


Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong research and legal writing skills.
  • Must demonstrate trustworthiness and a commitment to ethical practice.


Education:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.


Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
