Associate Attorney - Employment and Civil Rights

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Employment and Civil Rights Team in Edison, NJ. This position is tailored for candidates with 2-10 years of experience who possess strong writing skills and a solid work ethic. The attorney will have the opportunity to engage in significant litigation work and represent clients in various employment and civil rights matters.

Duties

• Represent clients in employment and civil rights cases, advocating for their rights and interests.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and prepare for litigation.
• Attend court hearings and participate in depositions to gather evidence.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective legal strategies and solutions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing their concerns.
• Manage case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and legal procedures.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in New Jersey is required.
• 2-10 years of relevant experience in employment and civil rights law.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Valid New Jersey Bar license.
