Job Overview
A leading boutique law firm specializing in healthcare and life sciences law is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Life Sciences litigation team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex matters involving regulatory, commercial, and administrative litigation in a highly specialized legal field. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation experience, exceptional legal writing, and a collaborative mindset, with the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys on high-impact cases across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

Location

  • Pine Brook, New Jersey

Duties

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery

  • Communicate with clients regarding investigations, litigation strategy, and case status

  • Draft and respond to discovery requests and objections

  • Review and analyze document production and maintain case files

  • Prepare and manage scheduling orders, e-discovery protocols, and protective orders

  • Develop deposition strategies, draft outlines, and manage exhibits

  • Conduct and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses

  • Prepare witnesses and materials for trial, arbitration, and administrative hearings

  • Conduct oral arguments and appear for court conferences and hearings

  • Draft mediation statements and participate in settlement negotiations

  • Work with state boards and administrative agencies

  • Support senior attorneys at trial and arbitration hearings (Second Chair responsibilities)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience (healthcare or life sciences focus preferred)

  • Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Ability to be onsite in the Pine Brook, NJ office at least 3 days per week

  • Demonstrated experience performing key litigation tasks as described above

  • Commitment to client service and collaborative teamwork

  • Minimum law school GPA of 3.0 preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state (New Jersey preferred)
