Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in patent prosecution, including drafting applications
  • A degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field
  • Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Barred in Virginia
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities
  • Experience with other forms of intellectual property is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia
  • USPTO Registration
