A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Federal Employment Litigation Team. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on litigation experience in an administrative law setting, receive direct guidance from senior attorneys, and work in an environment that prioritizes team success.

 

Duties:

  • Join the Federal Employment Litigation Team and handle full-cycle litigation for cases in front of administrative agencies such as the EEOC, MSPB, OFO, OSC, and OPM.
  • Bill 1,560 hours per year and manage a caseload of federal employment litigation matters.
  • Have direct client contact and provide legal counsel regarding employment matters.
  • Draft complaints, motions, discovery, and other case-related documents.
  • Take and defend depositions and conduct hearings in various formats, including in-person, telephonically, and via video-conference.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements on behalf of clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in employment law or litigation in the federal sector.
  • Familiarity with administrative agencies such as the EEOC, MSPB, OFO, OSC, and OPM.
  • Active bar license in any jurisdiction within the United States.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
