A law firm in Punta Gorda, FL, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a concentration in elder law and civil litigation, possess strong research and analytical skills, and be proficient in legal drafting and administrative tasks. This role involves conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, assisting with case management, and representing clients in various legal proceedings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
• Assist with case management and preparation for litigation.
• Review and analyze legal documents and agreements.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area.
• Perform legal administrative tasks, such as document management and case organization.
• Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings, with trial experience being a plus.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar association.
• Knowledge of state court practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, such as document management and case organization.
• Experience with legal drafting, including writing pleadings, motions, and contracts.

Education
