Job Overview: A law firm specializing in entertainment law is seeking a Mid-Level Film/TV Entertainment Associate Attorney with 3-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of film, television, new media, audio, and general entertainment transactions, demonstrating expertise in acquisition, development, production, distribution, and financing agreements. The attorney will be responsible for due diligence investigations of entertainment industry assets and providing valuable advice on intellectual property rights relevant to the industry.

Duties:

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate various entertainment agreements, including acquisition, development, production, distribution, and financing agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations of entertainment industry assets to assess legal risks and provide strategic advice.
  • Effectively manage small to mid-sized matters with moderate partner supervision.
  • Take responsibility for portions of larger, more complex matters within the entertainment law practice.
  • Provide insightful legal analysis and advice on intellectual property rights in the entertainment industry.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California or New York.
  • 3-4 years of relevant legal experience in entertainment law.
  • Proven ability to manage legal matters with moderate supervision and handle portions of larger, complex cases.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California or New York State Bar.
