Job Overview: A respected law firm is seeking a Bilingual Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team. The role involves providing legal support to clients in family law matters, conducting legal research, drafting documents, preparing for trials, and representing clients in court. Training and mentorship will be provided for new attorneys.

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Duties:

  • Provide legal support and representation in family law cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials and court proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and legal tasks.
  • Manage case files and ensure timely processing of legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or sitting for the July 2024 Bar Exam.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or legal setting (preferred).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois or sitting for the July 2024 Bar Exam.

Skills:

  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment.
