Job Overview:

A leading law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level attorney for its Antitrust Practice in New York. This position is designed for candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in antitrust law, including a combination of large law firm and/or government experience with the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission. The role will focus on transactional antitrust, litigation counseling, and handling various matters related to mergers and acquisitions, investigations, and compliance.

Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Provide transactional antitrust counseling and litigation support.
  • Handle a variety of antitrust matters including mergers and acquisitions, investigations, and compliance.
  • Represent clients in antitrust investigations and litigation, including before regulatory agencies.
  • Advise on antitrust issues arising in corporate transactions.
  • Counsel clients on antitrust law compliance and strategic planning.
  • Work closely with clients to navigate complex legal and regulatory challenges.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and transactional agreements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in antitrust law, including mergers and acquisitions, investigations, litigation, and compliance.
  • Previous experience with the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and legal research skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proven ability to handle complex and high-stakes cases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in the jurisdiction of the office or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Skills:

  • Expertise in antitrust law and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in transactional antitrust and litigation counseling.
  • Strong communication, legal writing, and research skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal matters and client relationships.
  • Proficiency in handling mergers, acquisitions, and compliance issues.
