The candidate will assist in managing a high-volume civil litigation docket, attend hearings and trials, negotiate resolutions, and handle various duties related to litigation management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-volume civil litigation docket, including attending hearings and trials in assigned areas of Texas.
  • Negotiate resolutions for pending litigation cases.
  • Review case files, update case statuses, and manage calendars effectively.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and litigation management.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes and records.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 0-5 years of experience in civil litigation, depending on the position level sought.
  • Ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within Texas as required.
