This role involves working on complex cases, including constitutional law, eminent domain, and civil rights litigation. Duties

• Engage in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal in both state and federal courts.
• Craft litigation strategies for complex cases involving constitutional law, eminent domain, and civil rights.
• Present sophisticated legal arguments, particularly in matters of social justice, land use, and First Amendment rights.
• Build cases for trial by developing evidence, conducting witness interviews, and managing depositions.
• Collaborate across offices to support and elevate the firm’s litigation practice and reputation.
• Manage and lead casework for public entities and large-scale projects, particularly in eminent domain.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience, particularly with law and motion practice in state and federal court.
• Experience with dispositive motions and trial preparation, including witness interviews and depositions.
• Proven track record in handling complex litigation matters.
• Prior experience representing public entities is preferred.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to providing high-quality client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in California (required).
