A law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Junior to Mid-Level Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Consumer Financial Services practice in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have substantial responsibility in state and federal court matters defending financial institutions. This role requires strong commercial or civil litigation experience, exceptional research, writing, and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex litigation matters effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent and defend financial institutions in state and federal court matters.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations.
  • Develop case strategies and manage litigation projects from inception through resolution.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting financial services litigation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure cohesive and efficient case management.
  • Manage and mentor junior associates and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial or civil litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial services litigation or contested foreclosure work is beneficial.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters independently and as part of a team.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar is required.
  • Admission to the New York or New Jersey Bar is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • Admission to the New York or New Jersey Bar is preferred but not required.
