Duties

• Legal Research: Conduct thorough research on legal issues to support case preparation and strategy.
• Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Court Representation: Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and negotiations, advocating on their behalf effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and development, contributing valuable insights to ensure the success of each matter.
• Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and responding to inquiries.
• Case Management: Assist with managing case files and documentation, ensuring that all legal and procedural requirements are met.

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of litigation experience is required. Clerkship experience is highly preferred.
• Trial Interest: Candidates should be motivated to become a trial lawyer and be prepared to take on the work required to achieve that goal.
• Skills: Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to draft and edit legal documents effectively. Experience with discovery, depositions, and witness preparation is a plus.
• Work Ethic: Tenacious, enterprising, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Florida State Bar (or eligibility to sit for the bar in Florida).
