Job Overview: A regional real estate law firm is seeking a Real Estate Closing Attorney to handle property closings in the Atlanta, Lawrenceville, and Fayetteville areas. The role involves overseeing the entire closing process, including title examinations, document review, and performing closing ceremonies. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and knowledge of Georgia’s real estate closing procedures, although training is available for exceptional candidates with limited experience. This position is based in the Fayetteville, GA office with occasional travel required.

Duties:

  • Conduct title searches and review title documents.
  • Examine and review recorded documents, trusts, estates, and corporate filings.
  • Perform real estate closing ceremonies, ensuring all legal aspects are addressed.
  • Assist paralegals and support staff with the preparation of closing documents.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and maintain attention to detail throughout the closing process.
  • Travel to other offices or model homes for closings as needed.

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Georgia and in good standing.
  • Experience in real estate law is preferred but not required (training provided for standout candidates).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel between office locations and model homes as needed.
  • Additional licenses in South Carolina or Tennessee are a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia (required).
  • Additional bar licenses in South Carolina or Tennessee are beneficial.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Georgia real estate law and closing procedures (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
