A law firm seeks a litigation associate with 4 to 8 years of substantive experience to join its team in Austin. The ideal candidate will work closely with a senior partner on real estate litigation and business litigation matters. Duties:

  • Assist with and manage real estate and business litigation cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including discovery requests, motions, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal counsel to clients.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support litigation efforts.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, with an opportunity to develop a personal book of business.
  • Provide litigation support across various stages of the case lifecycle, from discovery through trial.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in litigation.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing skills.
  • Experience in real estate litigation is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to draft pleadings, discovery, and motions with precision.
  • Experience covering depositions, hearings, and client negotiations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
