Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal advice to emerging companies on structuring, compliance, and business growth.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client strategies and objectives.
  • Assist in due diligence processes for investment opportunities and mergers.
  • Manage and lead client meetings, offering expert guidance and solutions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure comprehensive client service.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the firm's development through participation in training and development programs.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in ECVC law, with a proven track record in handling complex transactions and client matters.
  • Strong understanding of venture capital structures, corporate governance, and emerging company issues.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Delaware Bar or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Delaware.
  • Additional certifications in ECVC law or related areas are a plus.
