Job Overview:
A law firm in Irving, TX, is seeking a diligent and highly motivated Briefing and Research Attorney to assist in preparing personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is critical in supporting the trial attorney through various case preparation and litigation stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the trial attorney in preparing personal injury cases for litigation.
  • Draft and review discovery requests and responses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and draft legal pleadings, motions, and responses to motions.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy, deposition preparation, and trial planning.
  • Provide trial support, including the preparation of materials and assistance during proceedings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive case management.
  • Maintained and managed legal documentation and case files with attention to detail.
  • Participate in depositions by preparing and researching relevant legal precedents.
  • Contribute to the development of case strategies and legal arguments.
  • Provide after-hours on-call support when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • 0-3 years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Demonstrated excellence in legal writing and research.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
  • Availability for after-hours on-call duties.
