Mid-level Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Mid-level Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney to join its nationally ranked Global Finance group. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of leveraged finance experience, representing a diverse range of clients, including borrowers, lenders, issuers, and financial advisors. This role provides an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of current market trends and deal terms through exposure to various finance transactions.

Duties:

• Represent borrowers, lenders, private equity sponsors, and agents in finance transactions.
• Handle domestic and cross-border acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations, and restructuring efforts.
• Serve as a key member of deal teams, overseeing critical aspects of transactions from due diligence to closing.
• Engage with alternative financiers, including business development companies (BDCs) and hedge funds.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of leveraged finance experience.
• Substantive experience in representing clients across various layers of the capital structure.
• Familiarity with middle market lending preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Strong transactional and negotiation skills.
