A law firm seeks a skilled associate with 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate law, particularly in lender-side financing and related transactions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development, and will be ready to contribute to complex commercial real estate matters. Duties:

  • Handle lender-side financing transactions, including real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review financing agreements, including loan documents, security agreements, and related legal instruments.
  • Advise clients on commercial real estate law and assist with structuring and documenting complex transactions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure efficient resolution of legal and business issues.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and analysis related to real estate and financing matters.
  • Manage and coordinate the due diligence process for real estate transactions.
  • Maintain awareness of current legal developments and market trends in real estate law.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial real estate law, specifically focusing on lender-side financing.
  • Experience in a large or mid-sized law firm or other comparable legal environment.
  • Ability to manage complex legal transactions while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Illinois.

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
