Business Immigration Associate

The ideal candidate will specialize in business immigration, including non-immigrant and immigrant visa categories, and possess a strong ability to develop tailored immigration strategies. Duties:

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for legal advice and case updates.
• Develop and implement immigration strategies for complex non-immigrant and immigrant matters.
• Conduct consultations with prospective and existing clients to assess eligibility for various visa categories (L, H, TN, O, E, PERM, I-130, EB1A/B/C, I-140, I-485).
• Prepare and file non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines.
• Conduct in-depth research on immigration law and agency practices to provide effective and innovative solutions.
• Draft and review case materials, filings, legal documents, and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal and firm standards.
• Oversee the organization and management of client files, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Accompany clients to interviews and proceedings, providing support and guidance throughout the process.
• Identify opportunities for business development, including client proposals and presentations.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the firm’s culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• 2-4 years of business immigration experience, with specialization in one or more visa categories.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, coordinating with legal and support staff.
• Exceptional time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New York State Bar license (Required).
