Associate Attorney needed for Carlsbad office

A law firm in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a commitment to excellent client service, and experience in employment law and civil litigation practices.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to civil litigation matters.
• Prepare motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions.
• Conduct depositions of witnesses and parties.
• Manage discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Provide legal research and analysis on employment law and civil litigation issues.
• Assist in trial preparation and strategy.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar or willingness to sit for the next California Bar exam.
• 0-5 years of experience practicing law, preferably in civil litigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
