Family Law Attorney

Job Overview
A reputable law firm is seeking a dynamic Family Law Attorney to manage a diverse caseload in its Family Department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate vision, initiative, and a strong commitment to serving clients.

Location
Dallas, TX

Duties

• Monitor active caseload for deadlines and necessary actions
• Review open and closed cases for proper recordkeeping
• Edit and draft original petitions, answers, and counterpetitions
• Complete and draft pre-trial discovery documents
• Represent clients as first chair in bench and jury trials
• Attend mediations, depositions, and other case-related proceedings
• File post-judgment motions, bill of reviews, and appeals
• Collaborate with other attorneys in the Family Department
• Participate in departmental meetings
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and handle disciplinary issues
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Texas
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in family law
• Demonstrated trial and advocacy skills with litigation experience

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Valid Texas Bar license required
