Duties

• Provide counsel to clients on legal rights and document preparation specific to each case.
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings, advising on legal strategies after each session.
• Conduct court appearances, manage trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and perform in-depth legal research.
• Analyze potential case outcomes based on legal precedents.
• Handle a diverse caseload with a focus on effective case management.
• Offer legal analysis to clients, outlining possible case benefits.
• Gather supporting evidence for defense cases or to counter prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions, establish case strategy, and collect testimony from witnesses and experts to support the client's position.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense.
• Proven expertise in handling intricate criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with associates.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the state of California.

Certifications

• Active membership with the State Bar of California.
