Job Overview:
A law firm located in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an experienced Plaintiff’s Trial Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in Plaintiff’s personal injury law, including a strong background in arbitrations and trials in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This is a full-time, in-office position that offers a competitive compensation package, including medical and dental coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. The attorney will be responsible for drafting legal pleadings, managing litigation discovery, attending settlement conferences, and overseeing trial preparations.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Conduct initial client interviews to assess personal injury claims.
  • Oversee pre-trial litigation file control and management.
  • Prepare and draft legal pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Conduct litigation discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
  • Attend and participate in settlement conferences and mediations.
  • Manage all aspects of trial preparation, including witness preparation and evidence gathering.
  • Represent clients in arbitration hearings and trials in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
  • Process and manage PIP (Personal Injury Protection) claims in both PA and NJ.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on case progress and strategy.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to build effective case strategies.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Attorney.
  • Experience with arbitrations and trials in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
  • Strong experience in handling PIP claims in both PA and NJ.
  • Prior experience working at a law firm in a similar capacity.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and provide compassionate, client-centered representation.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation cases from start to finish, including trial preparation and settlement.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bars (required).
  • Additional certifications related to personal injury law or trial advocacy are a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in drafting legal pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Proficient in conducting discovery, including depositions and interrogatories.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury law, including PIP claims in PA and NJ.
  • Experience with trial preparation and court appearances.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client interaction and case management.
