A law firm seeks a Natural Resources Attorney to join its team in addressing dynamic and impactful environmental and land use legal challenges in Sacramento, CA. Duties:

  • Represent public and private clients in complex water, environmental, and land use legal matters.
  • Handle litigation and advisory work involving CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act), environmental law, and tribal law.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to develop innovative legal strategies.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support clients’ positions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Stay current on legal developments in environmental and land use law.
  • Participate in negotiations and settlements related to legal disputes.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in environmental, water, land use, or tribal law.
  • Proven experience in litigation and legal analysis.
  • Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory issues.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
