Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney in Valhalla. The selected attorney will join a dynamic coverage litigation team that represents both domestic and international insurers in complex litigation involving a range of liability policies. This role is suited to a motivated and proactive attorney with expertise in insurance coverage matters, who is comfortable with client interaction and independent case management.

Duties

• Develop litigation strategies for complex insurance coverage disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda, position letters, and coverage analyses.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies, providing coverage advice and recommendations.
• Supervise and engage in mediations and settlements of litigations, both domestic and international.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and interrogatories.
• Participate in depositions, document reviews, client conferences, and all stages of litigation and arbitration.
• Collaborate with team members and interact with clients directly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation or in-house with liability insurance policies.
• Proven experience with insurance coverage litigation, policy analysis, and client advisement.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in New York or New Jersey (in good standing).

• Proficiency in managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
