A law firm in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Managed Care Litigation Lawyer with 2-4 years of experience, preferably gained at a large or specialized firm. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in managed care litigation, specifically handling reimbursement disputes between healthcare providers and payors. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to provide effective legal solutions, and excellent communication skills.

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate complex managed care disputes, focusing on reimbursement issues between healthcare providers and payors.
  • Represent healthcare provider clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents as needed.
  • Provide strategic advice and counseling to clients on managed care litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with team members, including paralegals and support staff, to achieve client objectives.
  • Maintain client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
  • 2-4 years of experience in managed care litigation, ideally at a large or specialized law firm.
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement issues in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, concise legal solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
