A law firm in Mt. Laurel, NJ, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Professional Liability and Employment law. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team focused on civil litigation defense, particularly in representing employers and state agencies in employment-related disputes.

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis of complex legal issues.
  • Prepare for and attend court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Assist in developing case strategies and manage discovery processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment law and legal precedents.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar; additional admissions in Pennsylvania and/or Delaware are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing law with at least 3 years focused on employment law.
  • Proven track record in civil litigation defense, particularly in employment matters.
  • Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience defending employers in discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims.
  • Familiarity with state and federal employment statutes and regulations.
  • Prior experience in handling professional liability claims is a plus.

Certifications:
